Tess is your problem here; she's got quite the brain on her (even her litter box is automated!).
Lyra, Super Lucky's Tale

Tess the Tinker, or known simply as Tess, is one of Jinx's Kitty Litter, and is the smartest amongst them. Tess is voiced by Sarah Tancer[1] and designed by Nicolas Kole.

Tess relies on her remote control to access Petunia and most of her machinery. She is resentful of Lady M, seeing her as the "favorite" of their siblings, despite being the tech-savvy of the group, and doesn't think she takes responsibility for her siblings.[note 1]

While Tess set up her webpage and added the hypnotic beat to her music that's the real reason for Lady M's music being insanely popular, Tess only considers her sister a threat to good taste.

Anna Lyd is her rival among the Guardians for stealing her patents and inventions. She refers to Lucky as an "anomaly" and considers his unrelenting smile "creepy".

Appearance[]

Tess is a yellow-gold cat, with faded hair, paws, and some brown skin discoloration all over her body. Her tail is crooked and is severely burnt with its tips still present with fire, and wrapped with an adhesive bandage at the bottom.

Equipped with a belt with a big red sphere in front, presumably, a button, she carries a big, heavy, metallic red rusty backpack with her logo on the left, with wheels with a wrench behind her, has purple eyeglasses with left lens broken, and a pencil tucked in her left ear, a blue-violet jacket, and cyan rubber gloves, she holds a metallic remote control to manipulate most of her machinery. On the game cover and name for New Super Lucky's Tale, she holds a purple controller that resembles an atom, but doesn't appear on the actual game.

Personality[]

She is described as an "explosive" genius with an emphasis on explosive, and speaks in technical jargon, even in personal matters. She is considered crazy by the heroes, while her father insists she is simply hard to understand. Tess is quite reckless with her inventions, to the bad luck of those who would normally benefit from them.

Quotes[]

  • "Meowmalade is convinced her music is bringing all the ichthyoids to the yards, but the REAL "magic" is in the remix of my mind-control speakers. The only thing she's a threat to is our taste in auditory entertainment..."
  • "The eldest of the Litter thinks she's a ball of stellar incandescent gas, but I was the one who had to set up her Finstagram(tm) account. I could be toppling cities while she's focused on topping theses charts..."
  • "Who thought to examine the subterrestrial world for pages? Me. Who invented all these temportal labor-reducing devices? Me. But who does our parental unit favor most? Not this brainy cat."
  • "Hmph. My genius is underappreciated. Do you know how difficult it is to rearrange transmatter positron singularities without decoupling their inertial neutronic pulses? DO YOU?! DO YOU?! Because I'd really like to know the answer. I've been working on that equation for ages..."
