Lucky is his sister Lyra's younger brother who lives in the Foxington hub. Once, when Lucky went fishing, he saw that Lyra's plane was on fire before it crashed. They found the Book of Ages, only for it to be found by Jinx and his kids, the Kitty Litter - who is trying to use the Book of Ages for malicious intent. Lucky sacrificed himself to save his sister, and along with Kitty Litter and Jinx, went into the book. Unfortunately, Lyra was unable to get Lucky out.
With Lucky stuck inside, he has to confront the Jinx and the Kitty Litter. Along the way, he meets friends such as Yetis, Kookie Spookies, a village of farming worms, and many others.
Lucky first lands in Sky Castle, where Master Mittens shows up. After collecting 9 clovers, Lucky encounters his first boss battle, where he will face Master Mittens. If Lucky is successful, the Book of Ages will lead him to Veggie Village.
There, Lucky meets Kitty Litter admin Tess, who locks the door to the second boss battle. After collecting 27 clovers, Lucky faces off Tess. After Tess is beaten, the book will lead Lucky to Holiday Canyon.
There, Lucky encounters Kitty Litter duo General Buttons and Colonel Fluffy. They lock all doors except the door that leads to Fretting Yeti. After 54 clovers have been collected, Lucky battles the duo. When the duo surrenders, the book will lead Lucky to Spookington.
In Spookington, Lucky is greeted by Kitty Litter popstar Lady Meowmalade, who locks nearly every door. After the player beats Loopy Lanterns, Lady Meowmalade says she 'surrenders'. In Jinxed!, Lucky finds Jinx, who challenges Lucky through the level and Jinx's Rewrite. After Lucky finds 72 clovers, he fights Jinx for a final showdown.
After Jinx gets defeated, Lucky is able to return to Foxington to reunite with his sister. Lyra asks Lucky if she can go on his next adventure together.
