Lucky's Tale is Playful's flagship franchise, debuting with a launch title Lucky's Tale in March 28, 2016 as an exclusive release for the Oculus Rift. It follows Lucky and Piggy playing with each other. Unware of Glorp's presence and took Piggy away. Despite of its simplistic story, Lucky's Tale received mixed to average reviews.
Its non-VR sequel would be released as Super Lucky's Tale. It was announced in E3 on June 12, 2017 and would eventually be released on November 7, 2017 for Xbox One and Windows, SLT introduced new characters, along with character customization, and a completely revamped story about Lucky defeating Jinx and his children, the Kitty Litter, in hopes that he'll be a part of the Guardians. SLT received mostly mixed to positive reviews regarding its limited camera controls and wonky controls.
Its remastered version was revealed on Nintendo Direct E3 2019, two years prior it's announcement of Super Lucky's Tale, New Super Lucky's Tale would be released on November 8, 2019 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, and would be released on PC, Xbox, PlayStation on August 21, 2020, along with its soundtrack a week prior to the game's release.
