Stay fabulous, darling!
— Lady M[src]

Lady Meowmalade, or "Lady M" for short, is a tall, slender, spoiled, egotistical cat wearing various glamorous features around her. She is one of Jinx's dreadful and mischievous group, the Kitty Litter, and is the oldest member of the group.

Lady M is voiced by Sarah Tancer[1] and designed by Nicholas Kole.

Physical appearance[]

She has fluffy grey fur with white streaks, and orange unturned hair, and purple eyes. She wears a long turquoise sequin dress, a white fur trim, a gold necklace and bracelets with blue-cyan diamond, purple eyeshadow, a pearl earring on her right ear, and a showgirl hat with a purple feather.

Personality[]

Lady M is a selfish, self-centered, narcissistic diva, and acts like an ennamed celebrity. She is quite dismissive of others, showing no concern for those who are inconvenienced by her demands to be treated with class and status wherever she goes.

New Super Lucky's Tale[]

She refers to Lucky as not even breaking her list of top 40 favourite foxes.

Despite Tess setting up her webpage and being responsible for her music's hypnotic allure, Lady M shows little gratitude towards her little sister. When Buttons and Fluffinstuff's ship sinks, she shows more concern for her loss of fireworks than her brothers' safety. And she doesn't treat Lucky's threat to her father's plans seriously, saying she "doesn't have time to babysit Mitten's little friends", ironically implying that Mittens thinks highly of Lucky.

She is also in love with Lucky's big brother, Lucas, and is spurned when he does not show up to her party celebrating her finding a page of the Book of Ages, and only one page at that, implying laziness on her part. Lucas, for his part, considers himself Lady M's biggest fan and sends a heartfelt apology letter for not being able to make it.

Quotes[]

  • "There's my favorite fox! Wait, scratch that...you're not even in my top forty. I'm waiting for a different...another fox."
  • "Can you believe someone tried to tag me with the wrong name! RUDE!"
  • "You're still here?! OMG. Look, you weren't invited, sweetie. Get over it. This is just getting sad..."
  • "You AGAIN? Can you just worship me from afar like everyone else? I don't have time to shun you, Buttons is coming soon to deliver fireworks for my party."
  • "My sister set up these speakers to play my single, and it is totally slaying. I'd turn them off, but then think of all the joy I'd be denying my fans. Let them dance, darling. Ciao!"
  • "I'm successful because I'm amazing, but don't despair. If you try reaaaaally hard, apply yourself, and never give up, you might one day almost come close to finding a page."
  • "There's literally never been a better time to be a fan of me. Hashtag LivingMyBestLife."

Character name and design[]

Her name and its character design got its inspiration by "Lady Marmalade", a song released in 1974 by a girl group Labelle, written by Bob Crewe and Kenny Nolan. The song is popularized as a cover performed by Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mýa, and P!nk, recorded and featured as a soundtrack in a musical romance film Moulin Rouge!.
